The governor of Mecca, which is a prince, said “[The video] offends the customs and traditions of the people of Mecca and contradicts the identity and traditions of its esteemed population." The prince, named Khalid bin Faisel, also ordered that the singer and her crew should be investigated further. Saudi Arabia has been making improvements in its women's rights laws, such as letting women drive and not be segregated at restaurants.
